Dr. Vondalyn Wright, a resilient entrepreneur and philanthropist, has brought critical management expertise and patient-centered service to Health Matters Pharmacy at The Well in East Tampa. With over 20 years of experience as a pharmacist, Dr. Wright founded Health Matters Pharmacy in 2017 to provide customized medical solutions to her community. Her dedication to serving East Tampa has led to the growth and expansion of her business, offering a one-stop shop for healthcare needs. Dr. Wright's journey and commitment to her hometown exemplify her passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others.

With nearly 16 years in the pharmaceutical field, Dr. Lauryn Africa has cultivated a people-centered approach to her profession. This perspective guided her decision to join the community-focused Health Matters team. Graduating from Florida A&M University College of Pharmacy in 2008 with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, Lauryn boasts extensive experience as a retail pharmacist and pharmacy manager at major chain stores. A proud native of Mobile, Alabama, she now happily calls Tampa home. Lauryn sees pharmacy as not only a fulfilling career but also as a meaningful way to contribute her expertise towards enhancing the lives and health outcomes of the Tampa community.
Amber Williams, PharmD
Amber Williams, PharmD Compounding Pharmacist
Dr. Amber Williams, a curious scientist at heart and problem solver, has over 5 years experience as a Clinical Compounding Pharmacist. Following her undergraduate study she enlisted in the United States Army before attending the illustrious FAMU College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Upon graduation she completed a specialized Compounding Residency allowing her to gain more skills in the making of unique customized medications. Her areas of expertise include pain management therapy, hormone replacement preparations, hair loss solutions, and veterinary medicine. When she’s not in the lab or with her family, Amber loves to volunteer, paint, and write articles for her blog Compound This to provide resources for others who share her love of compounding!
